Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer accommodation?
Yes. A veteran can have one or two nights of accommodation while they sort out their situation. We are not able to provide accommodation for family members.
Do you offer financial support?
The club does not provide financial assistance to veterans or their families. Club members may, however, be eligible for assistance.
Do I need a motorcycle?
No. Many of our members ride, and rides are a big part of what we do, but you do not have to own a bike to be part of the club.
Are you a motorcycle club?
No. Officially we are not a motorcycle club, although members are welcome to ride.
What sort of activities do you run?
Rides and trips to places such as Ravenswood, Forrest Beach, Mission Beach and Airlie Beach, plus a weekly coffee and lunch at Milk Express Cafe in Willows Shopping Centre on Wednesdays from 12:00.
Is my family welcome?
Yes. Family members are welcome at the activities set aside for families.
What does membership cost?
Full (patched) membership is $50 a month. It helps pay for activities, emergency accommodation and the club's running costs. Family supporters pay no monthly fee.
Who can become a member?
Applicants need an interest in motorcycles and must meet the constitution's definition of a veteran. Generally that means holding an Australian Active Service Medal, Australian Service Medal or Operational Service Medal, or an equivalent allied award. Serving or former ADF personnel who hold the ADM have special conditions.
