Privacy
Last updated 3 November 2026
We respect your privacy. This page explains what this website collects and what we do with it.
What we collect
Only what you type into our contact form or membership application: for example your name, contact details, next of kin and emergency contact, vehicle and service details, and your message. We also keep your IP address with the submission, to help us stop spam.
How we use it
To reply to you, to assess and process your membership, and to look after our members. We do not sell your information, and we do not give it to advertisers.
Who sees it
Club office-holders handle submissions. Your message is emailed to the club and a copy is stored privately on the website's server so it is not lost. We share information with others only when the law requires it, or with your permission.
Cookies
Members who log in to the members area have an account with their name and email address and a scrambled (hashed) password, so we never see your password. This website sets a small cookie that keeps you logged in and protects our forms against abuse. It does not track you and we do not run advertising or analytics on this site.
Next of kin and emergency contacts
If you give us details about another person, please make sure they know and are happy for you to do so.
Keeping and removing your information
We keep membership information while you are a member and for as long as we need it for the club's records. You can ask to see it, correct it or have it deleted by emailing contact@townsvilleveterans.com.au.
Children
This website is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
